Between fen and mountains

Mud on the road

I went out for a blip drive this morning. The weather was unpromising. I ventured down Broad Drove which is not broad at all as you can see. That is par for the course round here; Moulton Seas End is nowhere near the sea and Gedney Hill is as flat as a pancake. I think the naming must have been done deliberately to confuse foreigners! The fen roads are so muddy at the moment. This one petered out after a mile or so and just became a mud track. If you do venture off the main roads, washing the car is almost obligatory as the mud is caked to the sills and wheel arches.
