It's Christmas time

And Holkham Hall is in full festive swing. I stood in the courtyard with a glass of mulled wine and, yes, I felt really Christmassy. There were carols in the hall and we could hear them as we sat enjoying the atmosphere. It was actually quite moving - I think the sense of tradition and the wonderful setting was at the heart of the emotion.
