Exploring Masada

Spent the whole day climbing and exploring the ancient fortification of Masada.

The picture shows the siege ramp the Romans built in order to breach the last remaining Jewish strong hold. When the Romans entered the fortress they discovered the mass suicide of it's 960 inhabitants, they had chosen death over slavery.
