Kicking on

It's the off season for the Australian Football League. Sporting eyes are turned to cricket and the novel spectacle (in recent times) of Australia soundly whacking the Poms in the Ashes Test series. But it won't be long before Aussie Rules is back, and footies are already in evidence. This young one had been hibernating in an oval near my home and, although yet to grow to full size, it is already shedding its old skin.
