Perspectives on Christmas

This small coffee shop in Bingley has really gone to town with this mural background to their festive tree, adroitly blurring the line between the kitsch reality and cartoonish make-believe of Christmas.

A bit like A-Ha in their Take on Me video, I found myself in turn a flesh and blood spectator of the scene, casually eating my club sandwich, and a drawn observer wishing I could expand from my flat crayon universe to step into this extravaganza of tinsel and fairy lights... Taaaaake meeeee onnnnnnnnn
