Royal House

I've often passed this impressive building, but today I stopped to take a pic, and find out more about it.

Built in 1847 it flourished as a hotel after the opening of the old Brunswick Railway Station on the Stray. The hotel was enlarged in 1863 and again in 1880 and was requisitioned in WW2.

Closed in 1960 it was totally refurbished for office and residential use. Pity I don't know anybody who lives there, I'd like a look round.
