Sound of Eynhallow

A local man who does bird-watching classes reported a washed-up whale yesterday in Evie. He couldn't get closer than about 500m, so today I headed up to photograph it and describe it for the record. I think it is a long-finned pilot whale but will see what the experts think. I didn't want to post an image of it here, but have put it on a local birders (and general wildlife) site called Orkbird.
It was very mild today and pretty cloudy. Birds included 90+ purple sandpipers, c300 long-tailed duck etc.
