Northumbrian skies

A blip from the shore on Holy Island. I think the problem with Lindisfarne (the island, not the group) is that it's mobbed in the summer and pretty grim and deserted in the winter. We've never managed to go there when it was uplifting. It wasn't today - on our brief visit - even though there was curious light in the sky given it was actually about 11.30am.

We were on our way to Leeds. Where we are now - overnight. Slowly reacquainting myself with the shape of the place.
