Dr. Hommesbos

A misty morning at Dr. Hommesbos near Onstwedde, Groningen, The Netherlands.

I haven't been around much on Blipfoto lately. Lots of other stuff to attend to. Today I was having the day off. After taking the girls to school, I drove to Onstwedde, where a tiny patch of forest called Dr. Hommesbos can be found. It's a hidden gem really, quite difficult to find but well worth a visit. The area was formed during the last ice age, with the ice pushing the land up, forming hills. There was a lot of mist today and since the Dr. Hommesbos was described as 'the mysterious landscape of Groningen', I figured conditions would be perfect for a visit...
