Tea Trees

Well I think this is a tea tree. There are white bushes flowering everywhere in the Blue Mountains at the moment. It has been a particularly good year for blossoms; the wattle was amazing. (I shouldn't mention the cicadas which are still almost literally deafening. They just about hurt your ears. Don't know if there's any connection.) Anyway I have been wondering what this normally uninteresting bush was and searched the web. It looks like it is pretty definitely tea tree. It isn't obvious until close up just how delicate the blossoms are. You don't normally think of Australian natives as being particularly "pretty" but these flowers would hold their own in any bridal bouquet.
