The grand finale to a busy week was sitting through the most raucous train journey home ever: some people just don't seem to have a volume control ... or any sense of embarrassment.

Ever since they built a footpath on our side of the road, walking through the churchyard isn't really a short cut any more. But sometimes it makes a very pleasant detour.
