Resting Blowholes

You can't visit Punakaiki without walking round the Pancake Rocks track. Even if you've been there lots of times before, every day is different. On this day the tide was out and the sea was calm so I got to stand very near the blowholes to take this photo. It doesn't look very dramatic without surging surf and spouts of spray but my camera and I were dry, which we normally wouldn't have been.
