CHRISTMAS PLANT

Sometimes, after wracking your brain for hours about what to shoot for your daily pic...fate steps in and gives you a break. I had just about decided that I was going to have to go home and set up some sort of still-life to shoot (and I had no idea what that was going to be), when I crossed the lobby in my office, and there on the table was this beautiful red, white and green Christmas plant.

It was in the absolutely wrong light, so I carried it around until I found a natural light source that allowed me to light the plant, while still keeping the background black. I like the final result, and am relieved that I get to save the still-life for another day.
