Wreathed

Kempton Hall window, Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, Portland.

Mesh is today's DDW-Mollymay challenge.
Mesh: an interlaced structure, such as the one found in these windows.

Kempton Hall, the parish hall of the cathedral, was fragrant with Christmas greens, brightening this grey day.

According to Trinity's website, this building was formerly the drill hall of the Bishop Scott Academy, a military boarding and day school for boys.

According to the Bishop Scott Academy website, however, the Bishop Scott Grammar and Divinity School on the site earlier had built a chapel around 1870 which I suspect may be what we now know as Kempton Hall, given the church-like ranks of tall windows and high ceiling.

And that's all I have time for before I turn into a pumpkin.
Sorry, I got enmeshed in other things.
