There are competing Santas in Old Leigh this year.

This one appeared from a little tent on the beach and marched through the town to his grotto, with children snaking behind him.

I've yet to see his rival, whose shed in the car park next to the Mayflower pub has a sign propped outside. It reads: "Please book for Santa at the bar."
