Links through time

Went to the cemetery with my mother today to see where a friend of hers have been buried. It was a family grave. Her parents bought the plot and as people are added to they get a stone squares with name, date of birth, date of death etc.
The cemetery has a lot of these kind of family graves. Some are really old. People included their professions in many. I find them interesting as they show a tapestry of family life.
At one grave you can see a builder and his wife buried, followed by their son who became and had three children of his own.
At another you can see a family with three daughters, one died young the others in their eighties. It is all interconnected like a story without an end or the links of a chain. Worth remebering.
