The "Not a Christmas" Rose

This is the rose I started to photograph yesterday, but in the end blipped some seed heads. Today the weather has taken a turn for the worst, so instead of a camera I grabbed the secateurs and dodging the drizzle cut the bloom, complete with raindrops, to bring indoors to photograph in comfort.

Try looking large

The rose is an old fashioned bush rose, and so has a glorious scent in Summer, but even this late bloom still has enough scent to bury your nose in, and recall sunnier times!
