A Wintry Vista

Hard to believe that just yesterday morning, I was breakfasting under the palm trees and gazing at the blue Caribbean Sea!

When we landed in New York yesterday evening, the snow was flying. This morning, we awoke to about 6 inches of the white stuff on the ground with the added embellishment of a nice, slick coat of ice.

Although hardly tropical in nature, this vista of rolling hills and cornfields is very typical of the area in which we are lucky enough to live, and it has its own very special kind of beauty.
