Rising Smoke....

After sleeping on the tow-bar electrical problem, I woke at 03:00am this morning with the answer of why wouldn't the indicators work and why the stop lights wouldn't work, I thought of waking BMJnr and getting right on it, but I thought better of it, he's not a morning person at the best of times.

Anyway, we arose at 09:00am had breakfast and a cup of coffee, and went straight to work, a quick rewire of the data cable to the other side of the return cable and hey presto, indicators, (that was the easy bit)
The stop lights were a little harder, I remembered that when my Mercedes was fitted, the fitter had to break into the top Hatch door light, the LED one in the rear window at the top, so we quickly tested and away we went.

Problem two was how to get a cable to inside the car at the top of the headlining, we had no alternative, we had to strip out the interior on the one side and unbolt the rear seat, we careful threaded the cable and spliced it into the Black and yellow wire on the light, refitted the interior and re-bolted the seats.

Job done, Only took a day and a half, I just might pay the £711 next time.

Hence the smoke blip, no time to go anywhere.
