A moment in time

... a glimpse of an action and then it was gone. Taken as I walked around Cannon Hall grounds with mum and brother. Mum has had a cold so it was good she felt up to doing our usual short walk.

My other blipworthy subjects of the afternoon were a group of Herdwick sheep that stuck their noses through the bars of the gate as I was driving past. They caught my eye and I just had to stop. We now have quite a few herds of Herdwick's in the area, which until the outbreak of foot and mouth (around 2001 - I think) were very much confined to the Lake District. We were very fortunate around here as the disease didn't materialise, but it was a terrible time for so many farmers in the uk.
