Das Eichhörnchen (the Squirrel)

You'll eventually thank me for all this German vocabulary. Right about the time Hell freezes over.

A day spent exploring München in sunshine. It's quite an astonishing city. Every time you go round a corner, there's another architectural gem to be discovered.

Not around our Hotel though... that was all lap dancing bars and pawn shops. You can imagine how thrilled I wasn't. The hotel itself was fine, just the streets around were a bit iffy.

However, exploring does the soul good and I really liked this little chap in the Englischer Garten (a big park in München so called because it is laid out in the English style of Capability Brown and not because lots of English people live there). Very pretty.
