Jo Wood At The 100 Club

I was given the opportunity to photograph an up and coming artist at The 100 Club on Oxford Street in London.

It was an opportunity not to be turned down really. Not only is the 100 Club a seminal music venue, with a strong history with Punk (Sex Pistols, The Clash, Buzzcock among them to have played there). Other great names to have played there include the likes of The Rolling Stones, The Who, Metallica, the White Stripes, Oasis to name a few. The walls are adorned with photos of some great names through music history.

So the subject of my photography is a young lady called Jo Wood. Not only is she musically very talented, but is a exceptionally nice person, and beguilingly beautiful too. Some people just have it all.

Have a listen to her music here. Very easy listening, very West coast America feel.

Hopefully I should have an opportunity to photograph Jo in a studio in the new year.

As an evening out, it was just what I needed. The evening's music included the Tootsie Rollers, Sal - The Pakistani Elvis, and The Fabulous Lounge Swingers A great fun night, shame I had to leave early to get back.
