MOONRISE FIREFLIES

Amazing moonrise at 3.30pm
Initially it was pink, reflecting the setting sun in the west
which was still going over the horizon.
Eventually I succumbed, set up my tripod
and took some long exposures out the storeroom window.
Two quick sets of six ,for merging in layers using screen later.
What I hadn't realised until I brought them up at home after work
was how quickly the moon rises .
The moon merged into a line about 1cm long on the image
so I had to remove it from 5 of the 6 images.
And just use them to create the busy car trails.
