Landing ramp ?

Have blipped this beach before - ocean lapping the shore. Never suspected this landing ramp constructed of stones underneath. Someone must maintain it. Wonder why it is necessary, as surely it couldn't be seen coming in from any great distance out. A thing of mystery ! And sure to draw a smile on your face . . . ..
