A Suffolk Eye

Doggie Jack Horner

We met Mungo in the Firestation cafe in Woodbridge - a delightful place where you sit on mismatched chairs and drink from jubilee mugs and watch people go past in the Thoroughfare outside...

Mungo was one of those charmingly absurd pugs whose necks have expanded round their faces like a woolly cowl-neck jumper and he had a pleasant and affable manner.

One eye on the biscuit on my plate he posed for a portrait. You can practically see the thought-bubble over his head:

"What a good dog am I!"
