A Dickensian Sunset

Spent a very pleasant weekend in Rochester with our youngest son and his girlfriend. They had invited us down so we could visit the annual Dickensian Festival which was taking place around the castle and High Street areas.
Between the period costumes, entertainment, street food and aroma of mulled wine, the place just oozed Christmas spirit, which even an old baa humbug like me appreciated. Definitely worth the long drive down.

On the Sunday we went for a walk down the west side of the Medway to work off some of the food and drink costumed. I had hoped to catch the sunset over the Medway, but had to settle for this street scene when the colours were at their best.
