Farm Track

For most, the phrase ‘winter landscape’ conjures up rather romantic images of beautiful snowy vistas complete with snow-covered villages, frosted trees. coloured berries and so on and so on. But the reality is radically different. This rutted farm track with its muddy puddles, untidy bare trees and general lack of colour (except perhaps for the damp moss), is the kind of reality that confronts most of us! Winter really means dull drabness, with cold temperatures, grey skies, poor light, short days, and wet, miserable weather. Nature at her untidiest, and most uninspiring!
