My neighbour's pigeons

Living right by the city centre, almost under the flyover, we're blessed with the most eccentric community-not everyone wants to live here. Two streets down, one of our neighbours keeps pigeons and circles them round the neighbourhood once a day. We know the pigeons are his because his roof, balcony and the nearby wires are constantly serving as perches.
This reminds me of a village in Spain where the locals circle pigeons in a mountain valley. The birds are marked by painting the undersides of their wings in vivid colours so as they fly over, their wings glint in the sun and they look like parakeets.
