Male & Female Chaffinch

This pair sat briefly in the fir tree on our garden, just long enough for me to grab a quick snap. Seeing the two sexes together it is easier to see the distinguishing chrarteristics of ther male. A slightly darker hue overall with a grey hood over the back of the neck and yellow as against white flashes on his wing.
