Flying Home for Christmas?

Probably not, this male goosander was just getting away from all the annoying people and dogs on both sides of the River Derwent near Froggatt, Derbyshire.
I have been watching these birds for months but this is the first half way decent shot I have got as they are quite shy and usually just gently swim away from you without making too much fuss.
Goosanders are fish eating ducks which explains the longish serrated bill.
