Orchid

Charlotte was bought this beautiful orchid by artist friend Robyn. It is truly beautiful and I wanted to take some pictures of it before it turned.

I went online and found a fantastic tutorial about lighting flowers. It mentioned about using a HUGE light modifier and a material backdrop.

Actually this was lit via a desk lamp that stands by the flower anyway in the kitchen and the backdrop is the window it was standing against. So despite the fantastic tutorial I didn't have to do anything... Just use the beauty of the flower to outshine.
