The Voyage Out

One Sunday I embarked on
The Voyage Out
To a Strangeland with
The Girls, to a land of A Thousand Splendid Suns.
We passed The Sea House and stopped to visit The Illywhacker.
He gave us Wonderfoods that he had stored in The Bell Jar.
We walked together through Falling Leaves and later sat by
The Plough and the stars.
Imagine This!
It was a Year of Wonders in a day.
It took my breath away, but Illywhacker reminded us
'The trick is to keep breathing'.
If nobody speaks of remarkable things, like these,
We just end up having Small Wars.
That just wouldn't do.


It's been far too cold to stand on a street corner, so I've been looking within these four walls for inspiration.
