Mysterious caterpillar

Cleaning the kitchen this evening, I found this fella under the toaster. I think he may have dropped off the kale we had for dinner. If so, he's been in the fridge for a while. He was moving a wee bit, but not too energetic. He's now outside getting used to life away from the toaster.
