Trees

Last night’s Christmas card delivering took me to Bundle’s (who promises to start blipping again soon). Although we live quite close to each other, we haven’t met for months. Our chat about all sorts of things included whether she was going to bother to find an affordable Christmas tree and haul it home or whether she’d rather just spend the money on a really nice bottle of wine. This morning, as it happened, I had to walk past the end of her street and spotted a good wrapped Christmas tree with a label saying ‘please take and put £15 through the door at 266’. One quick phone call and the tree was Bundle’s. Hence our second meeting in 12 hours.

The rest of the day has been as wet, windy and horrible as for everyone else in the UK, thanks to the jet stream racing at previously unrecorded speed. We've had far too many climate 'firsts' over the last few years.

It's good to have a bit of cosiness and sparkle indoors, this lot courtesy of our artistic director, aka daughter, who also took the photo.
