wander, stumble, wonder

Almost ready

I've never had great success with bread but thought I'd give some a go for Christmas lunch anyway. And it actually turned out like in the picture! Without the tomatoes and olives anyway. And is pretty delicious too. So the second loaf is in the freezer awaiting some starter plates tomorrow.

The lamb is prepared and ready to be thrown in the oven, the berry ice cream is whirling around slowly freezing, there's a trifle setting on the bench, a Christmas pud ready to be fired, and a fridge full to bursting with prawns, veggies, and a few drinks squished in between.

The tree has finally been decorated and has a few presents underneath, and a cat, the Christmas wreath has been found, and the house is full of the sounds of wrapping, Christmas music and the birdies singing outside.

But most importantly we are joyful for the occasion, excited to celebrate the birth of Jesus, our saviour and God-who-gets-it. We'll sung our hearts out and rejoice at this most excellent time of year.
