Christmas viewing

The former State Cinema, one of a number of art deco marvels in Edinburgh, and definitely a leithinstitution.

Of course, I see this building practically everytime I wander down the Water of Leith (on this occasion in order to get a blip and also to accompany the first'n'only born to the opticians so he could get his spectacles adjusted), but you rarely see it (a) in such a good light and (b) with no vehicles in front of it.

Doing a last dash to JLewis this afternoon. Otherwise, the drawbridge is pretty much up for a couple of days during which we will be largely at the mercy of Christmas TV (ugh). I really hope to throw off this chesty headcold soon, because it is starting (literally) to get on my tits.
