Organising the essentials..

Christmas Eve and a lot of organising to do for tomorrow. Drinks cabinet being "dusted down", and champagne glasses cleaned and ready for the breakfast Bucks Fizz.

Last minute shopping and Sainsbury's had run out of lemons of all things! But got them now. I always enjoy cooking on Christmas day and tomorrow's menu is likely to be along the following lines, disasters permitting:

Home made Whisky Pate and Olive Oil Crostini.

Champagne Sorbet.

Turkey and Guinea Fowl with fruit stuffing, Roast Potatoes, Sprouts with Chestnut and Pancetta, Parsnip Mash and various sauces.

Two special Scottish Cheeses on Charcoal Crackers and Mini-Oatcakes.

Home made Christmas Chocolate Cake with cream.

Coffee and chocolates or just more drink or both.
