Hitchcock Birds

Another abortive trip to try and catch up with a Bonaparte's Gull ended in failure. However as the light was going, this crow posed against the last of the light and reminded me of the Hitchcock film "The Birds". At the time it was the scariest thing I'd ever seen but I haven't seen it again recently. I suspect rather tame by today's standards.
Today was the day the villagers walked around the village carol singing with a couple of random donkeys. Amazingly the sun was out and it was relatively warm. One of the donkeys left a large memory of his visit on the lawn out the front - good for the roses I expect... Plenty of mulled wine and cider to fuel the voices made for an enjoyable morning.
