Up on the Roof

Good intentions to go further afield today but circumstances dictate!

The Pied Wagtail (Motacilla alba) or possibly its sub-species White Wagtail had been flitting around locally for the past few days but was unable to get a shot until today. I was off out without camera when I noticed him up on my roof, too good an opportunity to miss, quick dash back indoors, pick up camera and fit "The Beast" (Tamron 200-500MM Lens) Fire off quite a few shots and consider this the best.

I have only had this lens for a week or so and am still getting used to it, I am very impressed, although it can struggle in low/poor light and its autofocus is not the fastest for flight shots of birds.
