Jools and I brave the weather to travel to Montreal to see our son and his family who, sensibly, are heading to Mexico for Xmas. First night here, we get a mass of snow, freezing cold with a minus 30 windchill that causes chaos and forces at least one not-so-hardy cyclist to abandon his or her steed next to the bus stop . . .
