Bringing family closer....

....with the help of Skype.  This morning our son Aidan with wife Kaylene Skyped us from their home in Townsville Australia. Ella and Harry open their parcels that they had sent over for them while they watched.....is that marvellous.  That's our daughter janelle on the left.  We all had a great catchup, 32 deg over there today. I think we will all be in Townsville this time next year.

Any rate, I'm exhausted, we've been on the go since 6am this morning and haven't stopped all day.
The eating and drinking started with an amazing array of nibbles accompanied with lovely bubbles as we opened our presents.   OMG, those children were spoilt!!!
Hot ham, two fillets of beef, new potatoes, broccoli, Greek salad, kumura salad was served around 2 pm,  finished with pavlova, lemon soufflé, strawberry and cream cheese Santa's, raspberries, brandy snaps, jelly, Christmas puddle with brandy custard and cream.....finally finishing our Christmas dinner at 5.30 pm!!!
The last of our visitors have just left. We've been listening to the Queen's words of wisdom, now the Grandies are heading off to bed.  The lounge is a shambles, but bonus we've found the kitchen bench again so all good.

Its been a marvellous fun filled day, the horrible weather we had yesterday blew away and the sun has shone all day, primo.

Wishing all my Northern Hemisphere friends a wonderful, joyous and merry Christmas.

Thank you all for your good wishes :)

Rainie.....(who is enjoying a little Pinot)
