Inside This Tin Is A Cake

After eating sessions
the cake
(it came with instructions)
likes to be wrapped in foil.

Over several weeks
the cake
has been well fed
with alcohol.

Its topping
has been laced
with brandy.

I, of course, take
it for granted that I
(sated, warm, dry)
will be able to eat
and share the cake
later on in the day

(after the turkey
and pud
have worn off).

I know, I know,
I am very fortunate.
