Merry Christmas!

Will was part of our Christmas shoot today and this picture was too derpy and cute not to share.

Our two girl rats gave us a super scare this morning, though. Both were extremely cold, lethargic and not very responsive. We've had these rats for only a year, and they aren't old enough to pass, nor would they both go at the same time. My biggest fear was that they had got into some poison some how or maybe someone gave them a toxic treat in the shuffle like fudge or something like that.

We cuddled, warmed them up and gave them some juice in case it was low-levels of blood sugar or dehydration, and also gave them some pellets to nibble on while they warmed up on our laps under blankets. About two hours after starting to warm them up and that they started responding better. Now they're back 100% to normal. What a scare! I still don't know if they were given something or what, but we got them back on track and they are behaving well again. We'll be keeping a keen eye on them, though just in case. They're back to bounding around again and grinding teeth. :)

Jason and I are both pretty sick now, so we decided to rest for the remainder of the day. A few family members came by to say hello, exchange gifts and be on their merry way, but our day has been a cuddle on the couch, drink dayquil and suck down hot tea and honey like you wouldn't believe it!
