Monday: The Distractions

I was dozing quite happily in front of the TV this afternoon when K.'s friend, Bev, called from Manchester.  'What time are you coming over?', she said.  'That's not tonight, we're supposed to be coming on Friday', said K.  'No, it's tonight' said Bev.  So, as they had the largest rib roast in the world in the oven, we hastily readjusted and went over to Manchester for the evening.  Luckily, K's brother arrived in the afternoon from the Lake District so he kept K.'s mum company.

Anyway, on to the album cover, seen here, which Bev's hubby, Frank, proudly produced this evening.  He loves his music and this is quite a rare record.  'The Distractions' were a Manchester band of the 80s and the person on the right of the album picture is a very old friend of K's.  Their one album was included in a recent survey of the top 50 lost albums of all time......but it's particularly relevant as K. has quite a nifty connection to it.  And talking about music always forms a large part of the time with Frank.
