Coney Hill

By mid-afternoon the Christmas experience was getting a bit overwhelming and it was definitely time to get out for a quiet walk. Coney Hill is a couple of minutes' walk from home, a quiet wood mainly used by local dog-walkers - although the thousands of Brighton folk who commute to London travel underneath it every day. As ever in this part of the world the traffic roar is always present but at least there's a chance to get above the fumes and get a bit of fresh air, and what felt this afternoon like some blessed peace.
