North Buttress

It was the annual JMCS AGM this weekend. Early November, so I thought my chances of getting on a winter route in Glen Coe were slim to nil. So our was with great delight that we woke up to a fresh dump of overnight snow. With snow that fresh there are only a couple of routes possible - one of them is North Buttress on the Buachaille Etive Mor. This is often a very popular route, but we had it completely to our selves. Fantastic climbing. Brilliant day out, and great to get out on a route so early in the year. Hope this means we will get a good winter!

Any, after a tough walkout through deep powder snow, we just made it back to the hut in time to shower and shoot over to the Kings House. Thankfully got there in time for a well deserved pint!
