Frank

Today I was at a talk by Frank Krake about his experiences as a businessman in garden furniture. An exceptional talk because his career was marked by lots of big catastrophes that had a direct impact on his company. Like the firework disaster in Enschede that destroyed his stock, the attacks on 9/11 that blocked the US market for him, the Sars epidemic that started right where his biggest supplier was based, a bankruptcy etc. Despite all the setbacks he remained a positive and enterprising man. He just wrote an entertaining, funny and inspiring book about his adventures called De Rampondernemer (the disaster entrepreneur)
