Sweet dreams aren't made of this

It was blowing a gale today again and as we had our grandson Andrew with us for most of the day this 'lullaby' in one of his many interactive books seemed very appropriate.

It also got me thinking about exactly how this lullaby was supposed to soothe and send young children off to sleep with happy thoughts. There are questions to be asked I think.
1: What was the baby doing up there in the first place and were Social Services notified at the time?
2: Health and Safety obviously have not been informed as to the suitability of the fixings
3: The stated inevitability of the malfunction of the bough suggests a level of premeditation
4: Have the appropriate rescue services been informed in an attempt to arrest the descent of the baby and its cradle with a view to a happy outcome?

Would you happily drop off to sleep after listening to this tale of incompetence, neglect and indifference? What chance would you have of any sort of sweet dreams?
