The Village Green...

A little walk around the village today to work off some of the festive excesses. I've lived in Gatley for over 28 years. The village stands on the border of Stockport and Manchester, approximately three miles from Manchester Airport, and seven miles from Manchester city centre. In 1290, Gatley was known as 'Gateclyve', meaning "a place where goats are kept" in old english, I didn't see any goats today however :-)
