Snowy Owl

We in Rhode Island have been fortunate the last few weeks to witness a seldom seen sight in RI, the Snowy Owl. There have been many sightings. Many believe the owls are stressed after their long flight from the Artic, but I personally believe they have just flown here to a habitat that is conducive to their feeding (open areas and dune ares). This utility pole is a nice perch for this owl as he hunts the beach and dunes below.
